The pulp of the piquillo peppers is sweet, very fruity and soft. Without skin or seeds, they are very easy to handle and digest. Piquillo peppers are intense red peppers, grilled over a wood fire and prepared whole, deseeded and peeled. Melting and plump, their sweet taste is particularly fruity and very much appreciated in Basque Country cuisine.
